The Contra Costa County Office of Education is a unique agency. One of 58 counties in the state of California, Contra Costa County has the 11th largest public school student population in the state. For more information about the County Office's programs and services, we invite you to visit our website at www.cccoe.k12.ca.us Requirements: • A high school diploma or equivalent. • Two (2) years of college level coursework in child development or related field. • One (1) year of increasingly responsible experience working with children with special education needs in an organized setting. • Valid California Driver's License. • A written proficiency test is required for applicants who do not meet one of the following requirements: o Verification of 48 semester units post high school, OR o Possession of an A.A. degree or higher • Employment is contingent upon satisfactory Physical Strength Testing results. • Spanish language and strong computer skills are preferred.
