Position Description :
Field Modification Team Member/Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Individual must have experience and the ability to perform maintenance on associated tasks related to maintaining power plants, engine fuel systems, air induction systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, engine starting and charging systems, electrical and hydraulic systems.
Position requires the ability to install modifications and retrofits to M109A7, M992A3 but not limited to other platforms. Operating combat vehicles. Reading and interpreting work instructions, engineering drawings, and safety instructions. Disassembling combat vehicles and vehicle sub-systems. Use tooling to provision for modification kits: cutting, grinding, drilling, tapping, welding, painting.
Assembling modification kits. Installing modification kits into combat vehicles. Applying software and firmware updates. Troubleshooting and repair vehicle faults. Maintaining accountability and serviceability assigned equipment. Communicating and/or reporting of work completed, vocal and/or MS Office applications.
