Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) development process for assigned programs. This role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives, refining business processes, and ensuring high-quality engineering and manufacturing standards. The position requires collaboration across multiple teams to optimize product development and production.
Essential Functions
- Lead APQP development, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plans.
- Oversee quality assurance aspects of new product introduction.
- Develop and validate test methods and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with customer and internal quality requirements.
- Conduct quality control inspections at various production stages.
- Work with suppliers on Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions.
- Implement process improvement initiatives and document new quality processes.
- Support manufacturing activities at partner and supplier facilities.
- Ensure adherence to company safety and environmental policies.

- Knowledge of AS9100D/IATF16949/ISO9001 standards.
- Expertise in APQP and AS9145.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Experience using root cause analysis tools (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
- High school diploma with at least 10 years of relevant experience may be considered.
- 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- 5 years of leadership, supervisory, or managerial experience.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry and a multinational environment.
- Must meet company standards for background check, employment verification, and substance testing.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Travel up to 10%, including occasional international travel.

Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
