Our client, a leader in custom-coated films and flexible packaging solutions, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead sales strategy and execution across the U.S. This remote position is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with experience in plastics or packaging (e.g., stretch wrap, food-grade film, protective coatings) who thrives in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sales efforts, pricing strategy, and budget development aligned with company goals.
- Forecast and drive short- and long-term sales and gross profit targets.
- Analyze competitive products, market trends, and customer needs to recommend and implement strategy.
- Support product and service development through market research and data analysis.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments (customer service, production, quality, finance) to ensure efficient operations and alignment with sales objectives.
- Supervise and support the customer service team to ensure high-quality client interactions.
- Manage marketing budget, sales tools, and CRM reporting.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the sales and customer service teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of proven experience in sales/marketing within the plastics or packaging industry—experience with film, wrap, or coated products highly preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge of production processes and manufacturing environments, ideally in custom coating.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Willing and able to travel for client visits and trade shows as needed.
