Job Summary :
Our client is seeking a Software Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and integration of complex military combat vehicle software systems at their Sterling Heights, MI office. This role requires a proven leader with expertise in software engineering, systems integration, and U.S. Defense programs.
Essential Functions :
- Lead a software team, focusing on team building, process development (e.g., DevSecOps, Agile), and tool setup.
- Plan project schedules, budgets, and manage bids and proposals.
- Oversee vehicle software development, including requirements analysis, system integration, and software safety design.
- Research and implement solutions for military systems integration.
- Develop software documentation (e.g., SSDD, SRS, UML modeling).
- Conduct software testing, integration, and lab development.
- Provide technical support for prototypes, testing, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal / external customers and suppliers.
- Support international travel for technology transfer when needed.
