CFO

Are you a financial leader with a passion for driving strategic growth in the agriculture and food distribution industry? My client, an ambitious and fast-growing company founded in 2012 and launched commercially in 2018, is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to help scale their operations significantly over the next two years.

With $5 million recently secured, their immediate focus is to lease or build a new greenhouse complex, followed by expanding storage facilities in Florida (Jacksonville) or constructing additional greenhouses.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Funding Proposals: Drive efforts to secure additional funding for infrastructure development and business expansion.
• Strategic Financial Planning: Provide financial acumen to balance equity and investment decisions, ensuring sustainable growth.
• Forecasting & Analysis: Collaborate with leadership to develop accurate financial forecasts and strategic business plans.
• Investment & Equity Management: Structure financial deals that maximise growth while maintaining strong investor relationships.
• Distributor Collaboration: Support partnerships with existing and new food distributors to drive revenue growth, aiming to double the current network by the end of 2025.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in a senior finance role within Agriculture, Ag Retail, Food & Beverage, or Distribution sectors.
• Demonstrated success in raising capital and managing complex funding proposals.
• Strong strategic thinking, with expertise in financial forecasting, investment planning, and equity management.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, scaling business environment.
  
  

Role Details

• Part-Time Commitment: 20 hours per week for the first 3-6 months, with the potential to transition into a full-time, permanent role.
• Hybrid Role: While remote work is possible, the preferred candidate will be available to work on-site at either the Farm Complex or the Jacksonville office a few days per week.
