POSITION SUMMARY
The Payroll Associate will join the Global Atlantic Payroll team to help to support and execute the company's payroll operations for approximately 1500 exempt and 300 non-exempt employees. You will ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide exceptional support to our employees. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Integrity and confidentiality are critical for success, as this role requires precision, efficiency, and handling sensitive information.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including salary, hourly, and commission-based staff.
- Ensure accurate and timely calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and other compensation elements.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in salaries, benefits, and tax withholdings.
- Verify and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including federal, state, and local taxes.
- Equity award processing.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and company policies.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll deductions promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to streamline payroll processes and resolve any discrepancies.
- Generate and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
- Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
SKILLS:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency working with ADP Workforce Now and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Prior experience processing payroll for 1000-5000 employee sized organization.
- Minimum 8 years' experience in this type of role.
