CISCO is growing! We are seeking an experience Steel Shop Foreman to join our team.
The ideal candidate is someone with a background in structural steel fabrication and experienced with supervising employees. We are looking for a driven individual adept at meeting challenges, surpassing customer expectations and motivating a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate fabrication shop activities to meet production goals, including leading a team of 20-30 fabricators.
- Lead safety initiatives at the shop level, including modeling safe-work behavior, in accordance with Safety Manual and OSHA Safety Rules.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication, and explain blueprints to team members.
- Oversee welding processes that meet QC standards.
- Identify and resolve equipment problems.
- Manage inventory of materials and supplies for fabrication.
- Maintain and orderly, clean and safe shop.
- Lead by example, and serve as a mentor to team members.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 4 years fabrication experience in a leadership role.
- Minimum of 4 years safety experience.
- Excellent organizational, leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to use a computer and/or tablet for multiple processes.
- Knowledgeable in crane operations and welding processes.
- Experience and familiarity with CNC equipment.
- Highly proficient at reading and interpreting construction blueprints.
- Software experience with Tekla a plus.
- Must be bilingual.
- Must meet physical requirements of job, as evaluated in a pre-employment physical.
