Position Title : Manual / CNC Machinist - Model Shop Department : Model Shop Location : Fenton, MO Reports To : Manufacturing Engineering Manager Classification : Hourly - Non-Exempt Hours : Monday - Thursday 5 : 00am - 3 : 00pm Position Summary : The primary function of this Machinist position is to work with the Manufacturing Engineering Group to make components for a wide range of unique equipment used in our manufacturing and assembly process. Essential Job Duties : Set-up and operate manual mills and lathes Operate CNC mills and lathes as needed Ability to make offsets, change and reset tools Inspect and ensure that all dimensions are within print specification Complete required documentation with accurate information Perform daily preventative machine maintenance Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area Required Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent Formal Machinist training with certificate and / or previous experience Required Experience / Skills : 1-3 years previous experience with manual and CNC mills and lathes Excellent blue print reading skills Understanding of cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and machining techniques Ability to use precision measuring devices Understanding of G and M code Aptitude to learn pertinent software Ability to work individually and as part of a team About Control Devices, LLC Control Devices, LLC ("Control Devices" or "CD") is a leading designer & manufacturer of high-quality flow control valves, condensate removal traps, related components & accessories serving the compressed air, pressure washer, vehicle systems, fire protection, specialty gas, & the industrial, agricultural & food service float valve markets.
