We are looking for a Lighting Controls Technician to join our team and play a critical role in the management, commissioning, and troubleshooting of lighting control systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with control systems, be comfortable working in the field, and have strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- manage, program, and commission lighting control systems (wired and wireless).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with control systems, fixtures, and wiring.
- Work with clients, electricians, and project managers to ensure system functionality and customer satisfaction.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and technical documents.
- Perform on-site adjustments, scene setting, and system optimizations.
- Provide training and technical support to end users.
- Maintain detailed service reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and local codes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in lighting controls, electrical systems, or automation.
- Familiarity with lighting control brands such as Lutron, Leviton, Nlight, Pharos, or others is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
- Willingness to travel for on-site work as needed.
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring (we do not handle high-voltage wiring but need to coordinate with electricians).
