Control & Power Systems, Inc. is a leader in Life Sciences, Food, Dairy, Beverage, and Chemical industries specializing in innovative process solutions. We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer with Process Skid Design experience to join our team and contribute to the design and development of skid and packaged process systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop process systems and skids, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, control engineers, and our fabrication shop to ensure successful project execution.
- Perform site visits and inspections to gather data and assess project requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, manuals, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the design and implementation phases.
- Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of process systems.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies for process systems.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in process design software (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks).
- Strong understanding of process engineering principles and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in process engineering and process skid design.
- Experience with Solidworks 3D modeling software for process design.
- Working understanding of ASME, BPE, Welding Documentation and testing procedures for skid systems.
- Knowledge of process control systems and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards applicable to life science industry.
- Understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience with Word, Excel, Project
- Ability to conduct process simulations and calculations to optimize system performance utilizing Solidworks software a plus.
