What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior GSOC Operator position at Control Risks?
Control Risks is looking for an Embedded Senior GSOC Operator to support a Global Tech Client's Global Security Operations Center.
This role will be a part of a shift schedule. The shift for this role is:
- Saturday & Sunday 1000-2000
- Monday & Tuesday: 1300-2300
- Wednesday, Thursday & Friday: Offline
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support GSOC in managing operations and security procedures and act as an on-the-ground leader for Operators when Shift Supervisors, the GSOC Manager, or other leadership is not present.
- Ensure consistency from Operators in weekend operations related to emergency response, employee communications, travel safety, event and EP support, and security systems monitoring and response and support Shift Supervisors in day-to-day operations.
- Manage information flow and tasking to prioritize competing requests sent to GSOC team over the weekend.
- Provide guidance and edits around products developed by the Operators.
- During times of emergency incidents, VIP visits, client events and other high-traffic incidents, provide active assistance and support to Operators.
- Utilize mass communication systems to notify employees during emergency events .
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholder engagement in a wide variety of areas including in emergency and crisis situations.
- Support effective dispatching and monitoring of the security guard force by the GSOC team.
- Support the management of capable execution of security operations and administrative requests, including actively executing those functions where required.
- Perform various safety and security tasks, as directed by Client management.
- Assist in onboarding and training new Operators to ensure operational readiness and adherence to GSOC protocols.
- Conduct weekend audits of security systems and procedures to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
- Act as a point of escalation for security incidents requiring immediate decision-making and resolution.
- Advanced experience in incident monitoring, escalation, and triage, preferably working in a GSOC for a major global company.
- Experience using security operations platforms, incident management tools, and mass communication systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members of client leadership, security stakeholders, and client company employees.
- Strong ability to make quick decisions, gather pertinent information, and communicate with security leadership and stakeholders during high-level crisis and emergency incidents in line with SOPs.
- Strong understanding of how CCTV and access-control programs work and how to leverage tools in support of the GSOC Manager, Operators, and client leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including on the radio and phone.
- Proficiency in Google workplace suite.

The base salary range for this position in California is $71,000-$74,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per California SB 1162.
