We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our team. The Electrical Apprentice will assist journeyman electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in various settings. Founded in 2008; we are a temperature controls HVAC company. In 2015 we purchased Technical Energy Solutions, another great controls group. We have 3 branch locations being Grand Rapids, Alpena, and Troy.
Responsibilities
Assist journeyman electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand the layout of electrical systems.
Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing solutions under the guidance of experienced electricians.
Gain proficiency in the safe use of hand and power tools, testing instruments, and electrical meters.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and electrical hazards.
Learn about electrical codes and regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Attend classroom training sessions and educational programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
Assist with the maintenance of accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Interest in pursuing a career in the electrical trade.
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
