What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apprentice position at Control Tech?
Job Brief :
The Electrician Apprentice Field Technician will work with and learn from Journeyman Electrician Field Technicians and other apprentices. You will be shown practical skills and learn to test, calibrate, install, repair, and inspect manufacturing equipment and monitoring devices.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Reads and interprets electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications.
Pulls wire through conduits, holes, and splice, join, and connect wire to form circuits.
Assists with installing, replacing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems / equipment.
Tests circuits to ensure integrity and safety.
Participation / compliance with company safety programs & company policies.
On-call support as required.
Other duties as required.
Required Skills / Qualifications :
Registered Apprentice, preferred.
High School Diploma.
Experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test (required for safety-sensitive roles).
Completion of a criminal background check, with results assessed based on relevance to the position.
Verification of a clean driving record, as defined by Control Tech's standards (e.g., no major violations, no more than 3 infractions in the past 5 years).
