Essential Tasks for the Managing Director:
Leadership & Strategy
- Acts as an entrepreneur and is responsible for the profitable and sustainable operation of Delphy AgAdvisory.
- Develop and execute the business plan and financial budget now and in the future, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Executes and contributes to strategic services as a subject matter expert.
- Ensures regulatory compliance and risk management, aligning with corporate policies and industry standards.
Sales & Business Development
- Engage new and existing customers, negotiate, and conclude contracts.
- Leads business expansion efforts, identifying growth opportunities and partnerships.
- Organizes relevant marketing initiatives and industry events to strengthen the positioning and growth of Delphy AgAdvisory.
- Track and measure business development success as per KPI, revenue growth metrics and customer acquisition data as set by management.
Operations & Technical Management
- Oversees and manages daily operations, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business goals.
- Drives innovation and continuous improvement, optimizing processes, managing technical input by Delphy NL, and identifying growth opportunities for strategic alignment.
Financial & Administrative Authority
- Enter obligations arising from regular business activities of Delphy AgAdvisory.
- Enter purchasing agreements for essential goods and services required for daily operations.
- Agree on rates, payment terms, delivery terms, and other contractual provisions, within the financial limits and company guidelines.
- Collaborate with HR on recruitment, selection, appointment, and employment of candidates for daily business operations, in accordance with internal policies and approved HR planning.
- Notify the Board in writing of any obligation or payment exceeding EUR 25,000.
- Informs management of financial or any significant matters that may impact the operations finances, reputation, or image unfavorably.
Team Leadership
- Building and maintaining a high performing team, fostering talent and promoting professional growth
- Ensures that the business runs smoothly, with a focus on improving processes, reducing inefficiencies and maintaining highs standards of quality.
- Promoting a positive company culture based on collaboration, innovation and ethical standards.
- Ensure team members are informed of updates, priorities, and progress related to clients.
- Prepare and present team performance reports for leadership, highlighting success and areas for improvement.
- Define and communicate team goals, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Conduct regular 1:1 meeting to review individual and team performance, offering constructive feedback and setting clear expectations.
- Acts as the primary liaison between internal teams to ensure seamless execution of client projects
- Monitor progress and hold the team accountable for meeting deadlines and delivering results.
- Facilitate open communication and collaboration within the team to address challenges and identify opportunities
