Essential Tasks for the Account Manager - Textiles

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for textile industry clients, ensuring excellent customer service
  • Build and maintain strong relationships to enhance client retention and satisfaction
  • Support senior account managers in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Assist with client communications, including responding to inquiries, addressing clients needs and providing updates
  • Work with management to help navigate through project complexities or issues the client is facing
  • Gather and analyze client feedback to improve delivery service

Sales and Business / Revenue Generation

  • Help identify new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Assist in preparing presentations, proposals, and sales materials
  • Conduct market research to support business growth initiatives

- Work closely with commercial leads to identify growth opportunities and propose value- added services to clients

  • Collaborate with internal teams across regions to cross-sell
  • Satisfying Key Performance Indicators as set by management
  • Monitor cliente contracts, pricing structures, and financial performance
  • Monitor account profitability and ensure alignment with business goals

Technical Expertise

  • In-depth knowledge of textiles industry and market
  • Clear understanding of major industry trends/policies impacting US-based stakeholder groups
  • Familiarity with corporate ESG strategies and key issues that could impact textile-related service offerings
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise the business and clients accordingly
  • Analyze industry trends, competitors activities, an customer demands to provide insight to management

Project Account Management, Support & Coordination:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of projects related to client accounts
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services
  • Meet regularly with key client stakeholders to elevate the partnership experience
  • Monitor multiple project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and escalating issues as needed
  • Analyze client accounts and market trends to identify risks and growth opportunities
  • Provide feedback on project team performance to support annual reviews
  • Oversee scheduling and execution of Certifications, inspection, and Sustainability assessments

Contract & Documentation Management

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining client contracts and agreements
  • Ensure all client documentation is accurate, up to date, and properly stored
  • Support the invoicing and payment tracking process
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of proposals and contracts to align with company objectives with support from management
  • Resolve issues related to contract delivery

Financial Management:

  • Deliver transparent and timely financial reporting for project execution, including income and cost analysis
  • Manage project budgets and conduct financial forecasting to ensure alignment with project goals
  • Closely monitor and address issues relating to scope creep

Quality Assurance:

  • Take accountability for the quality and output of all assigned projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards

Business Development:

  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and drive revenue growth by understanding client’s business and industry need

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Assist in analyzing client data to identify trends and improvement areas
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and project management tools and any other tools used by the company
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts status, forecast, and key performance indicators (KPI’s)

Non-essential tasks for the Account Manager - Textiles

  • Assist in organizing corporate events, client meetings, and trade shows
  • Support administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings and managing calendars
  • Participate in team training and professional development activities
  • Provide backup support to other departments as needed
  • Represent the team at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events
  • Conduct occasional market research trends and competitors to inform business strategies

Minimum Requirements for the Account Manager- Textiles

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, textile management, supply chain or
related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in account management, sales, business development, or customer service, business development, or another related field
  • Experience in textile certification, inspection or sustainability standards (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, BCI etc.) is a plus
  • Knowledge of textile industry regulations and sustainability trends
  • Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic business plans
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Problem solving skills to address client challenges and provide tailored solutions
  • Proof of US citizenship or Applicable Working Visa
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time or as required for client meetings and industry meetings (Domestically & Internationally)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) for effective client interaction and internal collaboration
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and manage client expectations
  • Effective program management skills to simultaneously oversee and coordinate multiple workstreams
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and communicate in a corporate environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in business development and meeting revenue targets
  • Dedicated to exceeding client expectations with a proactive approach and flexibility to accommodate varying work hours as needed
  • Solid knowledge of sustainability principles, with a focus on the Textiles Supply Chain, Retail, Consumer Goods sector
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in collaborating with peers and senior leaders to ensure the timely and successful delivery of client work
  • Confident in budgeting, financial management, and creating concise, insightful reports

  • Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time or as required for in-person meetings or events
  • Fluency in written and oral English

Minimum level of Training for the Account Manager – Textiles

  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Office, Excel, and outlook functions
  • Sales support training that includes proposal writing and client follow-up
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft office Suite, and project management tools
  • Previous exposure to sustainability practices

Preferred level of Training for the Account Manager – Textiles

  • Bilingual Spanish

Physical Requirements for the Account Manager – Textiles
