ControlByWeb is looking for an experienced sales professional to fill our Technical Sales Representative role. This position is critical to our growth. Expertise in the industrial IoT or automation and controls industries is not required, but valuable.
The Technical Sales Representative will focus on developing leads into long-lasting customer relationships. This role will aid prospective and existing customers in understanding optimal solutions and how our company and products fit into that solution.
They will report to the Sales Manager, working together to understand the sales vision and company goals. The Technical Sales Representative will provide feedback to the marketing team about the quality of leads and the solutions that our prospective customers need.
This role will involve building relationships with key accounts, visiting customers on a regular basis, and representing the company at key events. The right candidate will be able to provide meaningful support to sales leadership and be poised to grow into a management role.
Key responsibilities:
- Review leads and initiate outreach
- Set appointments for follow-up
- Contact prospective customers by phone and email
- Learn how customers use our products and explore future opportunities
- Attend industry trade shows
- Visit key accounts to build relationships, provide support, and learn about their use cases and needs
- Be able to travel 1 week a month
- Make full use of Salesforce CRM for timely follow up and accurate data
