What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director position at Controlled Products Systems Group?
This is a management role in the CPSG Finance function. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Lead the Company’s financial planning process including annual plans, strategic plan, monthly and quarterly forecasts through preparation, analysis and interpretation of detailed financial forecasts, and (ii) Manage financial assessment and analysis of CPSG‘s strategic initiatives / objectives in partnership with VP / GM; champion behaviors to achieve strategic initiatives, Provide recommendations and counsel to the VP / GM on the efficacy of new initiatives and opportunities as the business explores growth opportunities. Requires 12 years of relevant work experience; prior Management experience and a minimum of a Bachelor‘s Degree.
Job Responsibilities :
- Lead the Company’s financial planning process including annual plans, strategic plan, monthly and quarterly forecasts through preparation, analysis and interpretation of detailed financial forecasts.
- Manage financial assessment and analysis of CPSG‘s strategic initiatives / objectives in partnership with VP / GM; champion behaviors to achieve strategic initiatives, provide recommendations and counsel to the VP / GM on the efficacy of new initiatives and opportunities as the business explores growth opportunities.
- Ensure and enforce compliance with laws and regulatory standards, including : GAAP, Board of Director, Audit Committee and shareholder expectations.
- Provide oversight on creation of financial results analysis, commentary and presentation material; present at periodic meetings including CPSG Business review, Commercial Business Unit, Board meeting and annual budget presentations.
- Advise Management Team in meeting their business and financial objectives through financial analytics.
- Responsible for setting the strategic vision for the Finance roadmap and ensuring ongoing assessments of infrastructure to optimize costs.
- Provide strategic leadership for the CPSG Finance team; provide decision making, change management and continuous improvement leadership for the organization.
- Lead the audit process on key audit issues; coordinate directly with the internal and financial statement auditors on accounting matters and positions.
- Drive continuous improvements across all financial and operational planning processes; analyze and evaluate business practices and recommend and implement actions to streamline processes, improve operational efficiencies, enhance the quality of business intelligence, and identify opportunities for reducing operational costs.
- Support development activities, including : acquisitions, strategic partnerships, minority investment opportunities, real estate expansion and product line expansion / management.
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
- Protect CPSG’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
- Motivate and lead a high-performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members.
- Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies.
- Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications.
- Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CPSG mission, vision and values.
Job Requirements :
The pay range for this position is $168,600 - $294,450; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and / or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
