The Accountant II is responsible for managing financial records, analyzing costs, preparing budget reports, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. This role involves collecting and reviewing financial data, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and identifying cost-effective solutions to improve profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and analyze budgeting reports for the company and individual departments.
- Partner with management to implement process improvements and enhance financial accuracy.
- Review and analyze balance sheets, profit/loss accounts, and financial transactions.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Review inventory balances and assist with inventory counts for quarter and year-end reporting.
- Collect, record, and maintain financial and cost-related data.
- Construct and manage financial databases and data accumulation systems.
- Determine and analyze fixed and variable costs (e.g., salaries, materials, and operational expenses).
- Review standard and actual costs for discrepancies and inaccuracies.
- Review and report profit margins, income, and expenditure accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost forecasts and financial reports.
- Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile financial transactions.
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions, process improvements, and financial efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, regulations, and internal controls.
Requirements:
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Experience with ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis)
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
