The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for providing strategic technical support to Conval customers and to the commercial sales team. You will be responsible for preparing sales quotes, following up on customer orders, interfacing with company outside sales representatives and departments to understand and satisfy customer needs.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand needs.
  • Act as the key liaison to the design engineering teams, taking feedback from customers regarding requirements and communicating their needs to the product development team.
  • Proficient with quoting process, order entry, order management through shop, and working with customers and other departments to solve problems.
  • Prepare and submit detailed proposals.
  • Interface with customer providing precise delivery dates derived from the information supplied by other departments.
  • Provide interdepartmental communication of in-house customer orders requiring special attention.
  • Prepare technical proposals and quotations based on customer specifications and deliver order status to customer.
  • Provides expertise and support to sales teams to communicate products, services, and client needs.
  • Ensures that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of related product/inside sales experience required.
