Your Impact
- Patient Care & Triage: Conduct comprehensive patient triage by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and performing observational examinations to identify immediate healthcare needs.
- Assist with patient exams, ensuring all necessary equipment and documentation are prepared, while supporting providers during testing and procedures.
- Clinical Procedures:
- Perform diagnostic and testing procedures, including vision, hearing, drug screens, breath alcohol testing, spirometry, and more.
- Execute point-of-care testing such as strep, flu, RSV, SARS-CoV-2, glucose, lipid panel, and urinalysis.
- Provide cardiac and airway management, including ECGs, AED use, nebulizer treatments, and oxygen administration.
- Deliver wound care assessments, immunizations, and medication administration per federal and state regulations.
- Patient Engagement & Documentation: Assist with patient inquiries, communicate test results, and explain medication or therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records, documenting patient histories and treatment details.
- Observe and report changes in patients' conditions, taking necessary action as needed.
- Clinic Operations:
- Ensure medical instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and maintained per organizational policies.
- Maintain a stocked and sterile workspace, supporting smooth clinic operations.
- Collaboration with Clinical Team: Work closely with other members of the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with providers and other healthcare professionals to relay patient information and updates.
- Welcome and support the training of new team clinic team members.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts in consecutive and or non-consecutive days:
- For full-time: Must be able to work three (3) 12-hour shifts a week with at least four (4) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
- For part-time: Must be able to work two (2) 12-hour shifts per week with at least two (2) shifts a month on a Saturday or Sunday.
- For per diem: Must be able to work four (4) 12-hour shifts per month, ideally working one (1) shift each week.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays.
- If needed, must be able to work at a minimum of three (3) other ConvenientMD locations within a one (1) hour travel distance from your primary clinic.
- Required to travel for training shifts which may occur outside of your primary clinic within a one (1) hour commute.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification and demonstrated prior experience: Licensed paramedic (preferably nationally certified) with prior experience placing and monitoring IVs.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. We do not accept CPR, ACLS certifications, or online only classes.

- Technically savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, experience with or ability to learn Experity as well as other business systems.
- 1-2 years of patient triage experience in an urgent care or emergency department preferred.
