Medical Assistants Needed for Maryland’s Leading Provider of Urgent Care Services!
Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth patient flow while supporting the provider in delivering high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include :
Documenting patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Measuring and recording vital signs
Performing rapid lab tests
Accurately entering lab results into the EMR
Administering injections
Conducting EKGs
Applying orthopedic splints
Assisting the provider with basic medical procedures
Performing phlebotomy
Preparing and collecting specimens for LabCorp
Adhering to established policies and procedures
Attending staff meetings as scheduled by management
Completing shift tasks such as supply inventory
Minimum Education and Professional Requirements :
Must be 18 years of age or older
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and externship required
Certification or registration as a CMA or RMA preferred
At least one year of clinical experience in a physician’s office or hospital preferred
CPR Certification required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work 12 hour shifts
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
Reliable transportation and flexibility to work in multiple locations
Schedule : Full-Time, 9 : 00 AM to 9 : 00 PM, three shifts per week, with rotating weekends. All centers operate 7 days a week, including holidays.
