E11 Bio is on a mission to make single-cell brain circuit mapping a routine part of every neuroscientist's toolbox. We are a collaborative and interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers engaged in a neuroscience moonshot project to develop a radical technology platform for scalable mammalian brain mapping. E11 Bio is a non-profit Convergent Research focused research organization located in Alameda, California, pursuing blue-skies neuroscience research yet operating like a nimble, tight-knit start-up.
E11 Bio is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic imaging data research assistant to help analyze data from our next-generation cellular barcoding technology for a neuroscience moonshot. You will help run the image processing and quality control pipeline while working closely with the computation and wet lab science teams.
\n- Processing our microscopy imaging data using our internally developed pipelines and overseeing its successful execution.
- Performing QC on the produced results and perform manual interventions where needed.
- Occasionally performing annotation work involving image segmentation and semantic classification which you will be trained for as part of your onboarding.
- Working closely with wet lab and microscopy scientists to optimize data analysis and acquisition processes
- Troubleshooting problems and collaborating on improvements.
- Engaging in a culture of excellent documentation, preparation of reports, and presenting results internally and externally
- Undergraduate or Master's degree in computer science, computer vision, quantitative biology (e.g. biophysics, bioengineering) or a related field in science and/or engineering, or equivalent working experience and track record.
- Familiarity with Nextflow, or other workflow scripting languages, is a plus, but the necessary skills can also be acquired as part of the on-boarding process.
- Previous experience using Fiji/ImageJ for image data analysis.
- Confidence working in the Linux terminal environment
- Prior experience with the Python, Java and/or Groovy programming languages.

Salary : $64,000 - $90,000
