What are the responsibilities and job description for the Atlassian Administrator position at Convergenz?
We are seeking a highly skilled Atlassian Administrator with 8-10 years of experience in administering Jira, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence, both from a front-end and back-end perspective. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Atlassian tool administration, automation, integrations, performance optimization, and cloud migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Atlassian Administration:
- Expert-level administration of Jira, Jira Service Desk, and Confluence with a strong understanding of all features.
- End-to-end installation and configuration of applications in Linux environments (front-end and back-end).
- Configure SSO, SSL certificates, security settings, and session management.
- Implement automation and scripting solutions to enhance Jira and Confluence functionality.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance issues in Jira and Confluence.
- Develop resilient system architectures and ensure high availability.
- Build and optimize technical solutions using Jira, Confluence, and related plugins.
- Cloud & Integration Experience:
- Proven experience with Atlassian Cloud migrations (AWS, SaaS).
- Strong expertise in Atlassian REST APIs (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Desk).
- Develop integrations between Jira, Confluence, and external applications.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, EBS, ALB, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudTrail).
- Agile & DevOps Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile).
- Hands-on experience with Jira Service Management and its administrative functions.
- Experience working with DevOps tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket, UCD).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation via scripting.
- Technical Expertise:
- Jira and Confluence Architecture – understanding of system administration and underlying tech stack.
- Scripting & Development:
- Groovy (preferred), Python
- Java (Core Java, J2EE, Tomcat, JSP, JavaScript, Maven, Spring)
- Shell scripting (Linux, Bash commands)
- Atlassian Plugin SDK & Plugin Development – building extensions for Jira/Confluence.
- Experience with JQL and CQL queries for advanced reporting.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Atlassian plugins such as ScriptRunner, Portfolio, Comala, Refined, JMW, JSU, EazyBI, Dynamic Forms, Elements Connect, Xray.
- Hands-on experience with on-prem to AWS cloud migrations.
- Experience with AWS automation (Lambda, CloudFormation, Auto Scaling, CLI).
- Knowledge of IBM Rational DOORS NextGen, Jama Software, Mural, Miro, Craft.io.
Job Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor high-performance computing systems to ensure stability and reliability.

Qualifications:
