What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loss Mitigation Specialist position at Convergenz?
**Schedule is M-TH: 11a-7p, FR: 8a-5p, and 1 half-Saturday a month.**
The Loss Mitigation Specialist serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for a portfolio of non-performing assets, negotiating and completing loss mitigation alternatives to minimize foreclosure losses. This role handles specialty functions, including liquidation outcomes, bankruptcy cases, and high-value customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of 90 day delinquent mortgages, ensuring compliance with investor and legal guidelines.
- Contact customers, attorneys, and realtors to discuss loss mitigation options, including loan modifications, short sales, and deeds in lieu.
- Analyze financial situations and recommend appropriate loss mitigation solutions.
- Conduct light skip tracing and review title searches for potential issues.
- Meet monthly performance goals and maintain compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree preferred.
- 2-4 years of related experience, preferably with GSE loss mitigation (FHLMC/FNMA).
- Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with MSP, Black Knight/LPS, and Sagent preferred.
This is an in-office position with no remote work option.
