What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resolution Specialist position at Convergenz?
The Loss Mitigation Specialist serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for a portfolio of non-performing assets, working to negotiate and implement loss mitigation solutions to minimize foreclosure losses. This role also manages specialized cases, including liquidation outcomes, bankruptcy customers, and high-value accounts.
This is an in-office position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of mortgage accounts 90 days delinquent, ensuring compliance with investor, departmental, and legal guidelines.
- Handle non-traditional loss mitigation solutions such as short sales, deeds-in-lieu, and high-risk customer cases.
- Contact borrowers, attorneys, and realtors via inbound/outbound calls to explore resolution options.
- Educate customers on loss mitigation strategies, including loan modifications, short sales, deeds-in-lieu, and cash-for-keys.
- Analyze borrowers’ financial situations and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Conduct basic skip-tracing and review title searches to protect investor lien positions.
- Maintain accurate records, update reports, and ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask under deadlines.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a consultative approach.
- Sound judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Team-oriented with adaptability to a dynamic work environment.
- Experience: Loss mitigation or related fields; GSE loss mitigation experience (FHLMC & FNMA) preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with MSP, Black Knight/LPS, or Sagent is a plus.
