What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembly Lead position at Convergix Automation?
What would a typical day look like?
- Continuously improves processes and delivers conforming quality products and services to internal / external customers
- Interfaces with build staff and other departments
- Leads and directs the assembly of assigned projects
- Maintains a safe work environment
- Coordinates machine tool operations
- Troubleshoots and debugs issues
- Provides customer service
- Participates in all required meetings
- Build, tear down, ship, install, and services equipment
- Train new staff
- Generates reports
- Participates in training
- Mechanical build duties
- Investigates / researches new projects
- Other duties as assigned
What qualifies you for this opportunity?
Work Environment
This job includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable. This role will occasionally use standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, copy machines, fax machines and filing cabinets. Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to ten (10) pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and baseline hours of work are Monday through Friday, 6 : 00 a.m. to 2 : 30 p.m.
Overtime will be required as project schedules demand.
Travel
Travel can be 20% of year on average
