ROLE OVERVIEW :
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Functional Designer for Oracle Utility Customer Cloud Services (CCS) to join our team. An Oracle Functional Designer for CCS (Customer Care and Billing) plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and the technical implementation of Oracle's CCS software within utility companies (electric, gas, water).
In this role, you will be responsible for the functional design, configuration, and implementation of Oracle CCS solutions for our utility clients. You will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into functional designs, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of Oracle CCS and the unique business processes of utility companies.

Understanding Utility Business Processes : They must deeply understand the intricacies of utility operations, including meter-to-cash processes, billing cycles, customer service interactions, rate structures, and regulatory requirements.

2. Solution Design and Configuration :
Designing CCS Solutions : Based on the requirements, they design how CCS will be configured and customized to meet the specific needs of the utility. CCS Configuration : They configure CCS to support the utility's business processes. This involves setting up billing cycles, rate structures, payment processing, customer information management, and other system parameters within CCS.
Data Modeling and Mapping : They may be involved in designing the data model and mapping data between CCS and other systems, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Collaborate with utility business stakeholders (customer service, billing, meter operations, etc.) to understand their needs and translate them into detailed functional requirements for Oracle CCS.
Design and configure Oracle CCS to meet specific utility business processes and requirements, including billing, customer management, meter data management, and payment processing.
Develop functional design documents, including process flows, use cases, data mappings, and integration specifications.
Configure and customize Oracle CCS, including setting up billing cycles, rate structures, payment processing, customer information management, and other system parameters.
Design and implement integrations between Oracle CCS and other utility systems (e.g., Meter Data Management (MDM), Outage Management System (OMS), Customer Information System (CIS)).
Conduct thorough testing (unit, integration, user acceptance testing) and ensure the quality of the implemented solutions.
Provide training and support to end-users on Oracle CCS functionality.
Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support for Oracle CCS implementations.
Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle CCS features, patches, and best practices within the utility industry.
Participate in project planning and execution, contributing to project timelines and deliverables.
Collaborate with technical teams (developers, architects) to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for Oracle CCS implementations within the utilities sector.
QUALIFICATIONS :
5 years of experience in implementing and supporting Oracle CCS , CC&B, MDM, and C2M within the utilities industry.
Deep understanding of utility business processes, including meter-to-cash, billing, customer service, and rate structures.
Proven ability to gather and analyze business requirements related to utility operations.
Experience in designing and configuring Oracle CCS, including specific modules relevant to your business.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with integration tools and technologies (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, REST APIs) is a plus.
