About This Position
The Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician is principally responsible for building, evolving, and maintaining a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure that client environments are compliant with Conversant Group standards.
This position sits on-site at Corporate HQ in Chattanooga, TN, and reports to the Network Operations Center Manager.
An ideal candidate will be able to:
• Manage and perform systems and network maintenance tasks with minimal supervision
• Monitor, document, and report on the efficacy of nightly maintenance tasks
• Monitor and address routine automated and manually initiated alerts
• Escalate incidents that fall outside of the standard remediation procedures
Please note that due to the nature of the technical hardware that you will be handling, applicants must have the ability to pick up and move equipment weighing up to 50lbs in weight.
Travel: while this is an office-based position working from our Chattanooga HQ, travel to our local data center and nationally to client data centers should be expected.
\n- Receiving and documenting equipment
- Inspect, log, and update inventory systems to ensure accurate tracking of incoming hardware
- Racking and stacking/staging equipment
- Physically set up servers, switches, and other hardware according to deployment schedules
- Hands-on troubleshooting
- Provide immediate support for physical interventions, including cable management, hardware replacements, and system resets
- Act as the on-site extension for all Grypho5 teams as well as Corporate IT, performing tasks that require a physical presence in Corporate HQ or the Data Center, as needed
- Monitor, acknowledge, triage, and perform routine alerting response
- Perform escalation tasks as required and participate in an on-call rotation
- Perform routine system and data-protection backup audits
- Knowledge of Remote Maintenance and Management (RMM) tools such as Auvik, N-able N-central, and IT Glue
- Knowledge of software and update automation techniques using N-central automation policies and patch management algorithms
- Knowledge of incident response tools such as eSentire, CrowdStrike, and Arctic Wolf
- Knowledge of domain controllers, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Active Directory
- Three-to-five years of experience working with endpoints, servers, network infrastructure, storage, and applications in a large enterprise or managed services provider
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field, or an equivalent work history
- Experience working for and within IT for the legal industry
- Experience in large-scale service delivery in a managed services environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
