Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to join our team. The Safety Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the workplace complies with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
Duties
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions
- Provide training on safety protocols, emergency response, and first aid/CPR
- Maintain records of all safety-related incidents, training sessions, and inspections
- Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and improve overall safety performance
Skills
- Proficient in OSHA regulations and standards
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis of safety incidents
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety best practices
- Experience in fabricating safety protocols and procedures
- Familiarity with EPA regulations related to workplace safety
- Strong skills in training development for safety programs
- Understanding of workers' compensation laws and procedures
- Excellent report writing skills for documenting safety activities
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
