Job Description: We are seeking an Entry Level CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with Senior Engineers to understand and discuss machine design concepts. You will use CAD and MS Office software to create manufacturing drawings, models for concept development per customer requirements, customer approval drawings, and instruction documents for fieldwork. Additionally, you will use business management software to create Bills of Materials for work distribution to manufacturing and purchasing, create and review internal notifications, and gather job-related information.

You will also provide engineering calculations as instructed by Senior Engineers, including load deflection and horsepower calculations. Effective communication with Operations, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to answer questions and resolve issues with jobs in process is essential. Participation in quality inspections and testing of ConveyX products prior to shipping, as well as assisting with machine assembly as needed, will be part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and discuss machine design concepts with Senior Engineers.

Skills Needed:

  • Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of mechanical drafting fundamentals.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, organized, and creative.
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to follow instructions.

Knowledge Required:

  • Mechanical drafting fundamentals.
  • CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
  • Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel).

Ability to Implement:

  • Create detailed manufacturing drawings and models.
  • Perform engineering calculations.
  • Communicate effectively with various teams.
  • Participate in quality inspections and machine assembly.
