Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. You will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ensuring their needs are met with efficiency and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches, following food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good working order.
• Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling additional products when appropriate.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using the Aloha POS system while ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed to maintain product availability.
• Adhere to all food handling regulations and safety standards within the food industry.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a grocery store or food service environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with culinary practices and food handling techniques is a plus.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell products effectively.
• Experience with cash handling and proficiency in using POS systems like Aloha is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
