Ministry Function
The Procurement Coordinator supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by serving as an extension of the Procurement Directors, maintaining relationships with current donors and working to engage new donors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages procurement and logistics paperwork and communications. This includes filling out needed forms for all donations, verifying product pickup, and maintaining procurement files.
- Assists in developing prospective donors through research. Initiates contact by sending information packets, calling, and emailing.
- Assists with departmental reports regarding gift-in-kind donors for Procurement Directors.
- Maintains contact with assigned donors and assists with major donors, as directed.
- Tracks expenses related to procurement.
- Assists in donor appreciation initiatives.
- Notarizes documents as needed.
- Fulfills all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two or more years of office experience is required.
- Possesses excellent written communication skills for creating, editing, and proofreading correspondence with donors and potential donors.
- Demonstrates proficiency in PC/Mac software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Displays strong organizational skills, detail orientation, and the ability to follow through on tasks.
- Exhibits an ability to multitask.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport over the phone.
- Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
- Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
- Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
- As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists, and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
