Ministry Function
The Recruiting Manager supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by providing the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring that the organization attracts, hires, and retains top talent.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinates a full-cycle recruitment process from job posting through candidate onboarding.
- Identifies and attracts a diverse range of potential candidates through various channels, e.g., recruiting systems, job boards, social media, and others.
- Reviews résumés, conducts interviews, and assesses candidates’ qualifications and fit for specific roles.
- Collaborates with hiring managers to understand job requirements and team needs while providing support throughout the process.
- Coordinates with hiring managers and candidates to schedule interviews and communicate feedback.
- Promotes Convoy of Hope’s mission, vision, and values to attract top talent.
- Participates in job fairs and other recruitment events.
- Tracks and reports key recruiting metrics.
- Fulfills all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, or the equivalent is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Three or more years of recruiting experience is preferred.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibits strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates a high level of discernment and ability to assess candidate suitability.
- Displays the ability to manage relationships with external and internal stakeholders effectively.
- Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
- Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
- Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
- As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
