Lease Maintenance Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Lease Maintenance Manager to join our team. This hands-on role will work closely with the Service Writers, Service Managers, customers and report directly to the General Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing full service lease maintenance operations, ensuring timely repairs, improving turnaround times, and reducing repeat repairs.
This position requires someone who is willing to travel to five WNY/CNY branches to provide support and training. A strong focus on Preventative Maintenance and maintaining high maintenance standards is essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preventive maintenance program, repairs, optimize fleet vehicle performance, and minimize downtime across 5 WNY locations.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of equipment—from ordering and servicing to in-service and disposal—ensuring efficient asset management.
- Track and optimize maintenance expenses.
- Structure unit maintenance schedules and monitor vehicle usage
- Coordinate substitute trucks as needed.
- Provide prompt response to urgent breakdowns, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a commitment to minimizing downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements for all fleet vehicles.
- Develop relationships with vendors to procure parts, supplies, and services.
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with managers to schedule maintenance and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Conduct periodic location yard checks and reviews to assess vehicle condition and service performance.
- Develop relationships with customers to ensure maximum uptime and fleet satisfaction.
- Review vehicle specifications to maximize vehicle performance and match those specifications to customer needs
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven experience in truck mechanics with a successful track record of heavy-duty vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Ability to manage people and operations.
- Ability to input and monitor equipment software program
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
- CDL A or B preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
