What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Dental Assistant position at Conway Family Dental Care?
This team-centered and patient-focused position is key to our clinical program and office function. The primary role directly supports the doctor and other clinical staff in preparing for and delivering dental services and treatments. As a secondary function, there are administrative tasks such as inventory control, handling vendor and laboratory relations, and managing / completing patient notes and treatment records within our system. A hard working, but easy-going nature is a must; as is a willingness to learn and grow with the office.
Dental Assistant Certification is REQUIRED, along with radiological licensure. We are able to be flexible on this if you are already in a program and expecting certification soon. Otherwise please note that this is not a position that can be hired for on the job training.
Dental Assistant Duties include:
- Infection control in treatment rooms
- Sterilizing instruments and equipment
- Preparing treatment rooms for patients
- Assisting doctor chairside and performing other direct clinical duties
- Exposing radiographic images
- Seating patients and reviewing medical history, including taking blood pressure
- Charting proposed and performed treatments
- Dental supply inventory
Full or part time possible!
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 38 per week
