Position Summary:
The Clinical Coordinator of Endoscopy Services is responsible for assisting in the overall functions of all clinical operations within the Endoscopy Department, including assigned specific programs and initiatives. The CC-ES will assist with oversight regarding nursing clinical practice, including developing infrastructure and implementing effectiveness measures. The CC-ES will assist the Director in providing administrative direction to management staff within areas of responsibility, including supporting plan development, priority setting, decision-making, and professional development, as well as hiring and performance management.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN) required.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related field preferred (BSN/MSN).
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years Endoscopy Care specific nursing experience required.
- Previous hospital based or specific leadership experience required.
- Knowledge of nursing theory and practice required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Current South Carolina (or compact state) licensure as RN (SCLLR) in good standing required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participates in planning work of assigned areas and coordinates activities with all patient-care areas.
- Organize in-patient care and treatments by collaborating with physicians and all members of the care team.
- Ensures that patient needs are met and evaluates area nursing care and performance.
- Works closely with the Director of Endoscopy in coordinating patient-care service functions.
- May assume responsibilities for the Administrator in their absence.
- Assists the administrator with continuous quality improvement, safety, risk management, in-servicing and education, personnel utilization, performance appraisals, resource usage and budget management, and maintenance of standards of care.
- Creates and maintains excellent working relationships with physician partners for the surgery center.
- Exhibits an exemplary level of dependability with respect to attendance, punctuality, ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines.
- Greet all patients and their accompanying family members when applicable and provide exemplary customer service.
