What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Financial Analyst position at Conway Medical Center?
Position Summary:
The Junior Financial Analyst (JFA) will assist in providing analytical support related to operations, profitability, benchmarking, or Resource utilization, identifying trends, variances and performance gaps. The JFA will assist in the administration of various financial systems, including data validation and ad-hoc reporting. The FPA will assist other members of the Financial Planning & Analysis Department in providing insights to leadership for decision making, regulator reporting, and other areas impacting the financial sustainability of Conway Medical Center.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, finance, or health care administration required.
Experience
- Prior experience working in healthcare finance preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works collaboratively with other analyst to assist with data validation, report development, system implementations, process documentation and other task associate with providing accurate data related to decision support, financial performance, and productivity.
- Assist with troubleshooting system issues to ensure the continuing operation and maintenance of the program as well as reporting and new implementation services.
- Assist in coordinating upgrades, maintain databases, write ad hoc reports, and maintain data dashboards used for various systems.
- Helps to support the monthly closing process as well as regulatory reporting.
- Work both independently and in a team environment, providing input and support to team deliverables.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with nursing colleagues, physicians, department heads, and executive leadership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Explorer, and PowerPoint required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Access preferred.
- Exemplary core customer service skills strongly required.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in emergency situations.
- Complete other duties as assigned by department leadership.
