What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linen Attendant position at Conway Medical Center?
Position Summary:
The Linen Attendant is responsible for assuring an adequate quantity of linen is maintained throughout the hospital by restocking and delivering clean linen to all parts of the hospital. This individual is also responsible for the appropriate utilization of linen and assuring linen is not being disposed of or lost.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
- Experience in hospital linen procedures preferred.
- Experience in hospital cleaning/linen procedures preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Delivers clean linen to nursing units and other areas of the hospital. Responsible for placing linen in the appropriate storage location in every unit.
- Matches count of items received from linen company to items sent on invoice.
- Must be able to call linen service to make any corrections if needed.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently in a professional manner with the Linen representatives as well as Nursing Staff and other Department Directors
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and have good communication skills.
- Must be able to perform simple mathematics.
- Must be neat, clean and in working uniform while on duty.
- Must be able to work well with others.
- Must be cooperative and dependable.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.
