Position Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic II (MMII) will perform minor repairs and maintenance and assist craftsmen in the repair and maintenance of Conway Medical Center’s (CMC) plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration facilities and equipment. MMII will conduct scheduled inspections of designated buildings and equipment; check and repair minor equipment malfunctions to include noisy bearings, broken belts, leaking faucets and pipes and blown fuses; make minor adjustments in equipment and temperature settings; clean or change filters; oil or grease motors. The MMII will perform minor repairs and corrections to plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration facilities and equipment as required; notify an appropriate engineer, supervisor or foreman if immediate action is required.
Education/Experience:

Education/Experience:
- Qualified in one of three ways required:
- High School graduate and seven (7) years specific maintenance experience or;
- Trade or Technical School Certificate and four (4) years specific maintenance experience or;
- Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and four (4) years’ experience.
Experience:
- Previous experience in locksmithing and door repair.
- Three (3) years previous healthcare maintenance experience preferred.
- Prior knowledge of NFPA-80 (National Fire Protection Agency).
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Valid SC Driver’s License in good standing required.
- NFPA-80 (National Fire Protection Agency) certification preferred.
