Position Summary:
The Patient Access Specialist I (PAS I) will check-in patients upon arrival, identify correct patient information in Hospital Systems, verify patient demographic data, and edit as needed.
Qualifications
Education:

High School Diploma required.
Experience
-
Two (2) years previous customer service/administrative clerical experience required.

One (1) year experience in patient registration in a medical environment preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
-
Medical Terminology certification or equivalent preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet all patients and their accompanying family members when applicable and provide exemplary customer service.
- Accurately identify the appropriate account for patient visit and will present and educate patients on required forms and obtain signature as required by policy and procedure.
- Complete all check-in files and manage all appropriate processes specific to the patient and their visit.
- Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due.
- Effectively utilize strong organizational skills.
- Consistently display effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient understanding and use of technology/PC skills required.
- Display exemplary core customer service skills.
- Complete other duties as assigned by department leadership.
