Precertification/Reimbursement / Medical Record Specialist

The Multi-tiered position is responsible for obtaining eligibility and authorizations for home health services and or procedures from initiation of care through discharge including extension of visits, procedures, and recertifications. Follow up and assistance of account resolution of insurance claims coordinated with organization billing department. Monitoring and overseeing lifeline private and insurance claims and invoice submission. Coordinates and maintains patient record data assuring complete and timely document uploads for thorough record completion. Responsibility also can include other duties as assigned.

• High school graduate or equivalency
• One year office experience in business and insurance management, accounting, and medical record experience or related areas
• Computer experience including office 365 (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills with telephone etiquette emphasis.
