What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Conway School District?
Conway Early Learning Program (CELP) is looking for a highly qualified individual to lead our preschool program.
The CELP Teacher/Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the current preschool program for 3-5 year olds, delivering play/project based learning for students incorporating social emotional, math, and early literacy standards.
The ideal candidate will have worked in a preschool setting and has experience leading and coordinating programs. The CELP teacher works independently the majority of the time, with some assistance from paraeducators during the AM session.
Preschool is a high energy environment, as such, an ideal candidate would have the energy to keep up with preschoolers, great classroom management, and experience with children with additional support needs.
The district will provide a mentor to assist in the transition and support throughout the year.
Successful applicant will be required to attend training and transitional meetings during the summer to be ready for school to start in August.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to preschool-aged children.
- Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Foster effective communication with students, parents, and staff to support children's development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Provide guidance and support for children's social and emotional growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and address individual student needs.
