Location : Medical Center - Fort WorthDepartment : PsychiatryShift : Varying Shifts (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours : 32Summary : The Mental Health Tech / Program Specialist II assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients ages Pre-K through adolescence. In this role you will assist children with activities of daily living, helping to maintain a safe environment and help them manage harmful behaviors. The Mental Health Tech also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process, and on-call as needed.Hours : 32 hours per week / varying shiftsEducation / Experience :
- A bachelor's degree is required, preferably in psychology, child development, social work, or a related field.
- Education in Child Growth and development required.
- Demonstrated experience working in an inpatient psychiatric or healthcare facility preferred.
- Pediatric experience preferred.Certification / Licensure :
- BLS must be completed within 60 days of start date.
