Summary :
Radiologic Technologist performs pediatric, adolescent, and adult diagnostic and interventional / electrophysiology procedures. This position performs the scrub assist and technical operations required for the performance of routine diagnostic and cardiac intervention through the advanced interventional electrophysiology procedures. This position scrubs and assist all Cardiac Cath Lab procedures with proficiency and demonstrates technical expertise, making a significant contribution to the diagnosis and treatment of congenital cardiac patients. This person must demonstrate a degree of understanding of the cardiac congenital heart, cardiac arrhythmias, and interventional procedures. This individual must be competent in the operation and troubleshooting skills of the x-ray equipment. This position requires the individual to be flexible in their work schedule including but not limited to extended shifts and On-call per operational needs. This person must maintain clinical knowledge in congenital and electrophysiology and assumes responsibility for the professional development of self. This position reports directly to the Cardiac Cath Lab Manager.
Qualifications :
Graduation from accredited program in Radiological Technology required
Minimum of 2 years Radiology experience
Previous Cath Lab experience preferred but not required
Good interpersonal and critical thinking skills
Ability to handle critical care situations which can create a high level of stress
Texas Medical Board Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
CPR - BLS / ACLS preferred
