Job Summary

Deliver quality customer service to both internal staff and the general public throughout the entire employment

process. Manage various Human Resources functions efficiently. Receive and manage employment documents,

ensuring proper recordkeeping and secure storage. Collaborate with third-party vendors for coordinated activities.

Serve as a liaison with department heads to provide support for their respective departments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and
  • Two (2) years of human resources, professional office, or directly related experience or
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Candidates who are contacted will be required to produce original required documents (e.g., current driver’s license, diploma, school transcript, certifications, etc.) listed on the Notice of Job Opportunity within five (5) days of being extended an offer, in writing, by the Bureau Chief of BHR (or designee). Candidates will be notified of how to submit required documents.

  • Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by the World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) or a National Association of Credential Evaluation (NACES) member organization.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other Characteristics

  • Knowledge of the basic principles and techniques related to Human Resources Administration, particularly with

regard to reasonable suspicion testing and fitness-for-duty of employees.

  • Ability to guide new and potential employees through the onboarding process and to serve the general public

in a professional manner when dispensing information.

  • Skill in gathering and reviewing confidential materials or information.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, maintain the confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information

concerning employees, provide guidance to other Bureau/Department employees, and troubleshoot problems

that may arise.

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle HR systems.
  • Ability to organize moderately complex activities and operations for a program, process, or service.
  • Ability to facilitate outcomes across organizational work areas, management, and teams.
  • Ability to independently interpret, develop, and implement defined plans and policies.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary Work

involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently

to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may

involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
