Job Summary

Oversee and manage all aspects of compliance management and compliance-related initiatives in coordination with Department leadership. Coordinate the development and submittal of required grant compliance reporting. Ensure timely distribution of compliance information to key internal and external stakeholders. Provide advisement and technical assistance on grant compliance requirements. Serve as programmatic liaison to funders, as appropriate. Identify compliance issues or gaps and coordinate with other functional areas to develop and implement corrective measures as appropriate and ensure adherence to grant guidance policies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and
  • Two (2) years of experience in finance, compliance, or directly related experience or
  • An equivalent combination of education and / or experience is required .

Preferred Qualification

  • One (1) year of grants management experience.
  • Candidates who are contacted will be required to produce original required documents (e.g., current driver's license, diploma, school transcript, certifications, etc.) listed on the Notice of Job Opportunity within five (5) days of being extended an offer, in writing, by the Bureau Chief of BHR (or designee). Candidates will be notified of how to submit the required document.

  • Degrees awarded outside of the United States with the exception of those awarded in one of the United States territories and Canada, must be credentialed by either the World Education Services (WES) or Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE).
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS

  • Ability to analyze and articulate, both verbally and through written documents.
  • Knowledge of compliance best practices and ability to research and interpret compliance requirements.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to convey complex compliance requirements, policies, and processes to internal / external parties with
  • varying knowledge levels.

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to provide moderate-level insight, advice and expertise to other professionals, management, and
  • external contacts in an assigned functional area.

  • Ability to operate as a team player and communicate specialized knowledge to team members, managers, and
  • external stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of moderately complex principles and practices for a specialized area of focus.
  • Physical Requirements :

    Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
