Certification Details BLS ARRT (R) Job Details Facility in Minnesota is in need of Radiology Tech Traveler. Must have at least 2 years of specialty experience, ARRT and CT working knowledge. Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escort patients to dressing and / or exam rooms, provide verbal and / or written instructions, assist patients in positioning body parts to be imaged, explain procedures, and observe patients to ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during scan. Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes and position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination and use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and team members. Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, and report equipment malfunctions to Radiology Manager and maintain adequate radiologic supplies. Job Requirements Graduate of an approved training institution. Must have a working knowledge of CT exam performance. Must have current BLS Certification. Licensure / Registration / Certification : Approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Schedule Information 4 days per week- 9 hours shifts. Variable start times : 7, 7 : 30, & 8. Last clock-out is at 1730. Weekend Call; 1 weekend call shift per month; starts 1730 on Friday to 0700 on Monday. May be asked to go in the Holiday Rotation. Weeknight call approx 1x per week starting at 1730. 15-min response time. Unit Specific Information Will they have to float / cover any other areas : Inpatient, ER, Outpatient, and Nursing Home. Radiologist in-house? : On site a maximum of 2 hours per week; available by phone 24 / 7. Additional Details Prefer someone CT certified but not required. Common types of imaging performed : Xray : General, extremities, spines, chest. CT : strokes, traumas, CTA, AAA dissection. Experience : Need to have CT and Xray experience. Must be willing to learn and perform EKGs.
