Position Overview
Cook Inlet Housing Authority (CIHA) is hiring a Project Administrator I/II to support construction and development project administration. This role includes managing contractor payments, vendor invoices, solicitations, budgets, and ensuring compliance with company, state, federal, and granting agency policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Procurement to prepare solicitations.
- Review contracts and ensure compliance with terms, insurance, and reporting requirements.
- Process contractor payments, vendor invoices, and manage project coding.
- Maintain organized project files for compliance and audits.
- Support contract change orders and assist with smaller projects as needed.
- For Project Administrator II: Oversee Fair Labor Standards compliance, attend construction meetings, and assist with drafting and managing contracts.
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of construction practices, materials, and regulations, including public and Indian Housing, environmental standards, accessibility, hazardous materials, energy efficiency, licensing, and permits.
- Familiarity with NAHASDA, HUD regulations, and Fair Labor Standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic filing systems.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, business administration, construction technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience in building/construction management may substitute for education.
- 2–3 years of experience in a construction office environment.
