Overview
The Director, Information Technology Location serves as the primary point of contact for a specific location and serves as Director or focal point of information concerning global and local activities, objectives and programs. This position works with local leadership to communicate, reinforce and implement global directives, and manages day-to-day operations. Provides leadership and direction to the IT local team.
Responsibilities
- Meet with IT Leadership on regular basis to confirm global directives
- Build strong collaboration and communication streams with local leadership, Global IT team and other Cook facilities
- Direct and develop road-maps accordingly to meet the local needs and fit the global direction
- Act as liaison with internal, inter-company, and global partners
- Ensure performance appraisals, training and development of the local IT team is meet
- Make recommendations for staff and equipment and provide direction into personnel matters
- Collaborate with the global and local IT teams to create and maintain information technology project plans which communicate tasks, milestones dates, status, and resource projects
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among conflicting business priorities
- Ensure team understands dual role of local and global responsibilities
- Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differences
- Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
- Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
- Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
Create, maintain, and regularly report on functional metrics and performance.
